Research : Favourite previous student video

I love this music video ! What i find refreshing is that i'm not a fan of this genre of music yet the music video makes me really enjoy the song .  It starts off with a very strong first shot in my opinion ,  the bird cage and even the wallpaper has this antique , dark almost gothy  design which links with the feel on the song. The editing all round is very good ,  they use frequent bastracks which in turn gives it a clear structure and i'm able to tell when she's singing the choros or the verse .They've also used a wide range of camera angles , expereimenting with lighting and shadows which i thought just made the music video very  cohesive with the song .

I also noticed that they edited to the beat , this gave the video pace . As the video progresses i noticed filters and reflections this just made the video more dynamic i feel.

You can tell that they've thought with consideration about their locations and when and where they would film . The costumes aren't really the main prority in this video but you can tell that they thought about everything . They included black wings which yet again adds to the dark vibe of the song , it also links in very well with the birds in the video .

Overall the one word i would use use to describe his music video is STRONG !
Strong editing , lipsyncing , mise en scene and lighting .
