Planning : Analyse 3 music videos

In this video for Lily Allen smile , what i'm planning to take and adapt from this video is the mise en scene . The location of London used matches her quirky take on urban clothing . From the cheap looking cafe , to the shady looking back streets of London and the cheap "chavy" jewellery  everything is cohesive . i plan to make sure my mise en scene has a visible cohesion that links with the lyrics and vibe of the song.

With this video the editing is why i picked it , Example 'Kick starts' is a video filled with at times rapid jump cuts of shoes , faces and bodies. All members of my group looked at this video carefully and decided we want to do some jump cuts of feet and clothing .  For my groups video i want to do filming in ' Vivien Holloway' a cute boutique with even cuter pink dressing rooms , i plan to have noticeable jump cuts of outfits and shoes .

This video by 'Florence and the machine' uses  different variety of camera angles that i think will look great and fit well with my groups music video. I saw many close ups of items and faces, medium shots that have the singer in the middle and long shots that show off the singers outfit and surroundings. All of this was used in this music video which i thought is necessary for my groups video because without these angles we wouldn't be able to do the genre justice .In Indie pop i have noticed the singers normally sport a  demure outfit (That's still looks sexy) .Camera shots are important because it's what it (camera) choses to focus upon that will be shown to the audience. Lot's of closeup's of faces is a more 'classy' way of showing the viewer how beautiful the singer is without it turning to 'Pop' like .
