Digipak- class discussion

In the class discussion, we learnt the importance and functions that digipaks hold.
We looked at a variety of different digipaks and got a feel of what they signify.
Here are some points on what I have learnt

Digipaks are used as a modern approach to CD packaging. They are important because:

• It allows for inclusion of more information about bands/ artists.
• It adds value to the music and the artist
• It encourages consumers to part  with their money for spending it on the album and getting something a little more special/extra  

 Digipaks also:

• Provide information about the artist,
• The individual songs,
• and may include acknowledgements, unseen photos and other information

Digipaks have these functions to make them sellable to the public. Good graphics and eye-catching visuals make a digipak successful and more worth the money.
